The Toyota 2000GT is Japan's first supercar. Only 351 units were ever built between 1967 and 1970 — a number comparable to the most exclusive Italian supercars of its era. It debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show, stunned the world, and single-handedly changed how the automotive industry viewed Japan. Today, surviving examples sell at auction for over $1,000,000. It is, without question, one of the most collectible cars ever made.

Amazing build!!
Very nice! But... This is my second set; my first one was the LC78. Both sets are fun to build, and there are no missing parts. But the builds are fragile; the parts/pieces/assemblies rely on a single stud to attach, and this makes them unstable and prone to failing. Bumpers are problematic, and on the LC78 the spare tire keeps falling out. The roofs are not very sturdy either. The 2000 GT's roof is easy to break loose. It would be easy to add pieces inside the cockpit to ensure it stays aligned with the rear. I consider these design flaws that diminish the building experience and enjoyability of handling the car once assembled.
Stunning model, interesting building techniques, everything is printed. Looks fabulous on the shelf. Thank you for this masterpiece!

I was extremely happy when I received the Toyota 2000 GT ! The build was great. They used quality parts. I enjoy the mystery box, you never know what you're going to get is part of the fun!

I bought 3 mystery boxes and got the Toyota 2000GT in one of them, along with the Toyota Supra and the 1087X Supra. An incredible design, very faithful to the original model!
